Lumora Academy

Training for every role

Lumora Academy is the Foundation’s training programme inside Nexus. Its fifteen modules set out the standards representatives work to — from safeguarding, ethics and secure digital work to project management, finance and whistleblowing.

Assigned by roleEach role has its own set of required modules. They are assigned automatically when an account is activated or a role changes, with 60 days to complete them and reminders if a deadline passes.
Reviewed assessmentsEvery module ends with questions and a practical case task. Answers are reviewed by an assessor and approved before a module counts as passed, with up to three attempts.
CertificatesPassing a module earns a certificate, and completing all fifteen earns the programme certificate. Like other Foundation documents, certificates can be verified online.
Study materialEach module can be read in the portal and downloaded as a PDF.

AI study assistant

Inside each module, learners can ask an AI study assistant to explain a section in simpler words or with a short example, in English or Turkish. It works from the module text and points to the relevant section.

  • It never writes, completes or checks answers to assessment questions, and it cannot see or change scores.
  • Email addresses, phone numbers, bank account numbers, Lumora IDs and web links are masked before a question leaves the platform.
  • Question and answer texts are not saved to learning records. Only usage figures are logged; the last few exchanges stay in the learner’s signed-in session so the conversation can continue.
  • Each learner can ask up to 10 questions a day and 40 a month.

The assistant uses Anthropic’s Claude models.

Pilot implementation & impact

The first pilot, in figures

The pilot started with the people who speak for the Foundation most often: its leadership, Supervisory Board, advisors and ambassadors.

12representatives listed on the portal (as of 8 November 2026)
3countries: Estonia, India and Nepal
13/13NFC card links confirmed in a live verification test
446automated checks run before every release

What the pilot changed

  • A university, ministry or partner can confirm in seconds that a person represents the Foundation, without an account.
  • A role that ends is withdrawn at once; no printed card or saved copy keeps showing it as active.
  • Photos and contact details appear only with each representative's recorded consent.

Next phase

  • Portal accounts and two-factor sign-in for every representative.
  • Events, training certificates and official documents issued through Nexus.
  • A privacy-friendly count of verifications, reported in the Foundation's impact reports.

Figures as of 2 November 2026, taken from the platform's records.
